Based in the far south of Corsica, A Vadina is made up of four singers and musicians united by a shared passion for polyphony. Heirs to an ancestral tradition, they grew up surrounded by songs passed down from generation to generation, immersed from childhood in the deep and distinctive harmonies that resonate across the island.
Inspired by this musical and cultural heritage, they have made polyphony far more than a means of expression: it lies at the heart of their artistic approach and identity. Every note they sing pays tribute to the voices of the past, which told the story of a people, their joys, sorrows and hopes.
Through their church concerts, they offer a timeless experience in which the power and emotion of the voices blend with the harmonies of guitar and piano.
Enhanced by the exceptional acoustics of the venues in which they perform, their repertoire takes the audience on a captivating musical journey through sacred and secular songs.
Committed to passing on and preserving Corsica’s heritage, the members of A Vadina strive to keep this invaluable musical tradition alive, sharing it with passion and ensuring that it remains as vibrant and relevant as ever.
